Large Scale Chuck Close-Style Grid Portraits
These portraits of Martin Luther King, Jr. and Lebron James were created by 5th and 7th graders.  Students drew one square at a time, looking at a small section of a photograph that had been gridded into 81 squares.  Students did not get to see the complete photographs until the portraits were finished.
